Cookie Policy

This policy explains which cookies are used on sourceistanbul.com, what they do, and how you can control them.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that your browser stores on your device when you visit a website. Sites use cookies to maintain a session, remember preferences or measure visitor behaviour.

Cookies cannot run a program on their own and cannot damage your device.

2. Which cookies does this site use?

This site uses no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels and no behavioural profiling tools. There is no Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or comparable analytics or advertising script on the site.

The only first-party cookie we set is a strictly necessary session cookie: PHPSESSID. It keeps your session continuous as you move between pages and is required for the contact form to work securely. It is a session cookie and is deleted when you close your browser. It holds no personal data, only a random session identifier.

Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent, because the basic functions of the site cannot work without them.

3. Third-party content

Our contact page embeds a Google Maps map to show our office locations. When that map loads, Google may set its own cookies and process data such as your IP address. That processing is governed by Google's own policies and is outside our control. If you prefer not to load the map, you can avoid the contact page or use your browser's third-party cookie blocking.

The flag images in the language switcher are loaded from flagcdn.com. That service only serves images and does not set cookies.

No other page on the site contains third-party embedded content.

4. How to manage cookies

Every modern browser lets you view, delete and block cookies. These settings are usually found under "Privacy and security".

If you block the strictly necessary session cookie, the contact form may not work correctly. The rest of the site can still be viewed without cookies.

If you use "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control in your browser, no further action is needed here, because this site does not track you in the first place.

5. Changes

We update this policy whenever we add a new tool or embedded element to the site. The date at the bottom of the page shows the last update.

If you have questions about cookies or your personal data, please get in touch with us.
